What a nice photo. I was planning on hiking Flattop yesterday and taking some photos, however I got stuck in that mess on the Glen Highway. That didn't leave me time after doing the things I needed to do in Anchorage.

Thanks. Yeah, we got stuck in it too on the way to Eklutna. Finally got off the Glenn and took the Old Glenn most of the way. Made to the Twin Peaks Trailhead for some shots of the lake from above. Near Point is a nice alternative to Flattop, far fewer people too.

I've never taken the Old Glenn...is it very scenic and worth taking?

I've not found it very scenic although it is a nice little drive when you have time. More of an old country road feeling rather than a 4-6 lane highway.
