My friend and I wanted to take a road trip to Alaska, but the only problem is we dont have enough time to go there and back.

We were wondering if it is possible for us to buy a used car down here in Utah, drive it to Anchorage, and then sell it there (hopefully making a little extra to help pay for gas and the plane ride home).

The only thing we are really worried about is finding a buyer once we get up there. We dont want to get stuck with a car in Alaska while we are back in Utah going to school.

Thanks!

I could make the round trip from Salt Lake City to Fairbanks and back easily in 14 days and have plenty of time for sight seeing. There are already plenty of used cars in Alaska. I tend to drive mine until the rust takes over everything.

If you'll access to computer when you get here you could list it on Craigslist. I bought my last vehicle off of there.
I wouldn't count on making any money off of it though. You'd should be able to sell it for what you paid for it, assuming it doesn't get any damage coming up the highway.
