I am helping a friend clean out a garage, and we have a BUNCH of old paint (probably 50-100 gallons) that we need to dispose of. Is there an easy way to do this, other than going to the dump? Is there a such thing as pick up service? Is it expensive? Thanks.

I'm not sure about Anchorage, but in the Valley at the Central Landfill there's a big barrel to dump used paint in.
But if I remember right, it it's latex paint that is completely dried up you can dump it as trash (at least in the valley). So you could pop the lids, let them sit until they completely dry out and then just toss them.

For Anchorage, you can find more info here: FAQ

Thanks for the tips. I'll have to do more checking but looks like I could possibly dump latex paint. That part wasn't totally clear. This stuff is a royal PIA.
