It's in Wasilla up Wasilla Fishhook almost to the top.

It's right next to the Grouse Ridge Shotgun Range, so you will hear gunfire when they are open. The noise carries much farther in the Winter. They also have weird hours.

There's some nice homes there. I personally would not want to do the drive up Wasilla Fishhook on a regular basis... It's just real windy.

Plus the turn off to Tex-Al is right after a curve that makes for a blind corner when you are turning back onto WFH. Always makes me nervous because people tend to drive pretty fast around that area.

I've done that school bus route before. Pulling out of Tex-Al there in a forty foot bus that moves slowly was always fun...

But, if you are looking for the "living out of town" experience, it does have a very "in the country" feel. If you are looking to buy, spend some time there and see how much noise comes from the shotgun range. Or stop by and ask them about their activities to try and get a feel for how it would affect your life.
Me, personally I don't mind shooting noise.
