Definitely find out about relocation. I've heard that RN's can get relocation packages to move up here so look into that before you start selling off everything.

Yeah, we actually found out they are giving my husband a VERY generous relocation allowance! They're packing our house up, shipping our vehicle, flying us up there, AND giving us 30 days of temporary housing. We'll be flying up December 7th!! Can't wait!

That is excellent news for your family! That will give you a month to look for rentals/schools/neighborhoods.

What school will the temp housing put your two children in?

I have no idea. We're not sure where we're being "put". But it won't matter because at the moment both of my kids are homeschooled but my daughter has already told me once we move and have an actual address that she wants to go back to public school. So we'll definitely be looking at places that have good schools. I prefer the Eagle River area but I'm not sure if our budget will allow that!
