That's the burger I got. I didn't finish it. We just discovered this place during the summer. I wanted a good burger but not a chain restaurant one. A friend recommended it. Man was it good.

Moose's Tooth is too busy for me so I haven't gone there except once before I moved up. Wasn't that impressed.

I happen to like The Spenard Roadhouse

For sandwiches, The Pita Pit is really good.

International House of Hotdogs is probably going to be your best place to get a hot dog, as they have quite the selection.

There are also tons of Asian type restaurants up here.

My favorite Italian place is Villa Nova.

I'll have to look up the hot dog place. Moose tooth advise. We go after lunch but before dinner. Our flight always arrived around 2'pm so by time we got car we were ready for a late lunch.

You will like it. Heck, I have never been one to eat hot dogs very much, but the yelp reviews were so glowing for this place I had to try it.

Lived up to my expectations. They guy that runs it probably gives the best customer service in a food establishment I've ever seen.

Of course, there is no indoor seating. It is a trailer parked on Northern Lights Blvd that has a few picnic tables outside you can sit on. I believe they are covered in the winter so you can still eat outside if you want.

Place really is the bomb.

As for Moose's Tooth, I think the place is pretty much packed all day long. It may be THE most popular restaurant in Anchorage.

I hate crowds so I stay away lol

We haven't had to wait more than ten minutes since we changed our strategy.
My favorite place though is the Thai Kitchen. Authentic. Hole in the wall. I seriously eat there every day I'm in anchorage at least once. Sometimes twice.

Here is some info about the Arctic Roadrunner.
Arctic Roadrunner Local Burgerman

Guennies on Spenard is good for breakfast if you are real hungry. [extra large portions]

Are they really the best burgers in the city? I'm kinda picky about burgers so haven't gone yet.

Also, for anyone that's a fan of Ramen...about the only place I know of that specializes in Ramen is Naruto, which is pretty good because they offer up Pork and Halibut-based broths. Lots of veggies, too

If Hawaiian is your thing, and sometimes, NOTHING hits the spot like some serious Hawaiian grub, I recommend Kansha Hawaiian and Japanese Restaurant on Dimond Blvd.
