What a great week! We just love it up here. We met our new neighbors and everyone was so friendly and helpful. There are only 8 units in our condo group and it seems like everyone looks out for each other. I really like that. Where I live now we are very good friends with our neighbors, helping each other out and watching each other's places when someone is away. I did alot of surfing through Craig's list and scored two, plush, like new lazy boy recliners for $149 each, perfect for the living room. A friend of our relatives is moving our of state and is selling all her furnishings. She has very good taste and her things are like new. We got a couch, 2 floor lamps, 1 table lamp, coffee table, entrance stool, 3 drawer end piece, an antique baristers bookcase, 5 qf chest freezer, wooden chest of drawers and 2 file cabinets for $895. She was happy to get rid of so much and we were happy to get it. Both parties walked away happy, that's the way I like it. Our real deal of the week was when we went for a walk downtown only to walk by a business that had set out a great wooden computer desk with a free sign on it! Well, coming from a proud family of "Let nothing go to waste" we zipped over and got the old subaru wagon, popped that baby in the back and with it hanging out the back a foot, got it over to the condo. A little buffing and a few touch ups and we have our new computer desk. We have had great weather and have visited parks, ski areas and went up Hillside. Only 1 more day then it time to go back. Gotta sell that house and finish school. Then we are so back to stay. No doubts this is the right move. Well, got to hit the sack so we can take full advantage of our last day. Good night to all. D

Default Returning

Hi,
If all goes as planned, J will be driving up beginning of June with car, dog and small trailer. I have to stay until at least the end of June to finish school. Timing depends a lot on how things go selling our house. I will then drop our other car off at J's dad to store in his garage. (He lives near Bradley airport in CT.) Then the cat and I will fly from there to Anchorage. Anyway, that's the plan-- subject to change. You know what they say, " Life is what happens to you while your making other plans." Gotta go, last day here, much to do. Parting is such sweet sorrow, till the morrow. D
