I can see some mechanic for a small independent company maybe making $20 an hour. The bureau of labor and statistics has the average at $29.43 and then figure in time and a half and double time
It seems that way, 20$ an hour in anchorage or alaska for that matter is barely a living wage (small apartment, reliable vehical, food, etc), anything less than that and your living with your parents or have some other undesiarble living arangement (unless you are the spouse of someone makeing 60$ an hour). I make 40$ an hour and thats enough to get ahead on some debt but your not really making "good money" until its 6 figures or you are at least netting 6K a month. Then there is the over time when you are getting it, alot of companies dont want to pay over time these days and at time and a half I dont blame them, schedule is not that big of a deal these days.

In the seventies during the construction of the pipeline, a diesel Mech was getting about thirty bucks an hour, but since has dropped down alot. There are still well paying jobs in the industry, and the CAT Dealership pays more than twenty, but they don't have openings very often either.

But where you made the big bucks, was the OT on 12 hour days. In Anchorage or other towns, a 40 hours week is pretty normal unless you travel on the road out of town.

Even if you made thirty an hour in town, you are more than likely still anchored to a 40 hours week and aren't going to be close to a hundred grand a year...

Tu et correct. And the range is not that wide its limited to things I have experience with but often times my views and opinions on a given topic are not in line with others, I dont like being extorted or being made to do things I dont want to do or be pushed into the corner of indentured servetude, everyone needs a job but its still not ok for employers to bully employees which is exactly what we have in this nation.

Its a racket plain and simple, but im not going to debate that here, this nation has a bad case of entitlement mentality and everyone thinks its ok to extort thousands from men using kids as a pawn even though the gov clearly indicates what it costs to raise a kid which comes out to around 400$ a month for 1/2 the support yet I have seen support orders go into the thousands, there is no intellegent justification you can make for that, it boils down to a meal ticket for the mom. I dont have a kid I have a friend that went through this and he will probably never be able to recover from it financially and I suggested he leave the state, his ex is so disfuctional that his kids are already messed up and she has a rich daddy that bails her out so there are no real consequences for her. That is a standard american scenario. I could care less if someone agrees with me or not wrong is wrong, you can come on here and tell me its ok to get stumbling drunk but your opinoin does not make it right. Also when you leave the nation you are no longer subject to its laws so it was never about asking how to commit a felony, you may not like that answer but its still not a felony, the courts can go through what ever gyrations they want but if you are no longer a citizen its irrelavant they will be lucky to even be able to track you down or get extradition especially as this nation sinks to second world status, the euro is already 1.5 times the value of the dollar and holding, trading is starting to not be done with US dollars and it all boils down to this entitlement mentality.

Anyways this is way off topic so lets stop here.

You need to find an attorney from someplace other than a book of matches from a bar.
