Finally have a departure date for our loooong (about 4,660mls) road trip back! This time we are both going and we are going to to take about 14-15 days. We will be driving our 2006 Subaru, Legacy outback and not pulling a trailer. Last year John did it in 10 days driving a 1996 Geo, pulling a trailer. Maine is nice but it is NOT Alaska. Can't wait to get back. It's been a long, tough winter of doing construction and dealing with John's dad's illness and passing but things are getting settled and we got a lot accomplished on the house. A few more weeks to get things wrapped up then here we come.
YeeHaa! So many trails yet to explore. See you soon. Diane

Seeing that your "home" is parked in my yard, I guess I could let you have vistors also.

In our family we call the girls gatherings (FB nights) fabulous broads nights! I just turned 50 on Sunday so now I am a fabulous fifty broad! I am heading for Homer on the 1st of May. I am very excited but hit the anxious stage of leaving yesterday. I worked on my gardens all day Sunday and then spent yesterday sorting through (again!) my books that I just can't accept leaving behind. I am glad my DH is up on the north slope, if he saw me weepy he would think I was nuts. After 27 years of marriage you would think he would realise that you can be sad and happy at the same time.
