I like that white building in the 7th picture. Pittsburgh needs a hose down though
To each his own I guess...to me, row houses are the best part of urban housing. That's one reason I love the Northeast so much.

yeah I noticed some really like the row housing. I hate it though. It's too... organized... plus stand-alone houses have much more potential for architecture, and more importantly, trees and landscaping. I think that's what does it for me, I like trees everywhere, more green less concrete

^^^^ this building is awesome

Yeah it is isn't it? Downtown Pittsburgh has some incredible architecture...the problem is the area is so dense and tall that it is hard to get good pictures from many places.

Thanks for the pictures...if you have any more, I'm sure we'd be glad to see them.

Hahah ya, the city is expected to have 690,000 by 2013 big growth.. and i'm guessing suburbia is going to account for it.., as well as mesa del sol community..but at least thats an urban planned community (the largest urban planned community in the united states).

no no no I hate that, way worse than row housing.

I was referring to something like, say, the Ansley Park neighborhood in Atlanta.

twisting roads, very nice houses, towering trees and landscaping, but unlike suburbia completely walkable and right next to towering skyscrapers (as in, right across the street) and urban stuff. just cause you're in the city doesn't mean you can't have beautiful detached houses. Ansley Park:

I can't find any satisfactory pictures though. Most of the houses in this neighborhood are around 100 years old and there are some really cool views when walking around but I can't find any pictures of the nicest houses or house/skyline views online...
