What city has the best architecture in your opinion? Do you love the brownstones of NYC? How about the Victorian row houses of DC, or the Georgian townhouses of Boston? Maybe your more into the modern skyscrapers of Seattle? So, old or new, which city is most aesthetically pleasing and why? Pictures always help to support your case.
For me, I can never decide between the East Coast cities, but might say Boston in the end.

I love St. Louis architecture, but Boston and Chicago seem to have good architecture as well.

I like the older architecture more than the modern, but that's just me.

No, New Orleans hand down. They have been under French, Spanish, British, and American rule. They have architecture from all 4 countries and it is one of the oldest major US cities. They also have a lot of Carribean architecture.
Look up pictures of the French Quarter and of the Garden District.

Chicago...dramatic skyline juxtaposed w/an elegant lakeside setting...

And on a surface street level, Chic has underground pkg garages under many high-end office bldgs/condos, etc and valet pkg in front of key restaurants/bars (unlike NYC) so one can easily commute around city via own car, relatively impervious to the ugly cold/snow/heat/humidity/rain of Chic

I would say Chicago for towers, Los Angeles for single family residential buildings. Funny, Los Angeles has some of the world's greatest architects but isn't known for its architecture.

I like both old and new architectural styles for what they are but I personally prefer more modern styles to live in.

I’ll break it down like this.

For modern - Seattle is #1 for me (Seattle does have some older architectural style neighborhoods that are immaculate and breathtaking)

For an older architectural style – D.C. is #1 for me

Modern Seattle architecture

Older D.C. architecture

Boston, NYC, Philly and DC. The rowhomes, churches and museums cannot be matched by any other city.
