He only did that to get your vote. He will change his mind as soon as the final vote has been counted..if you're dumb enough to vote for this piker. Everything he accuses Hayworth of (and, no I don't intend to vote for him either), he's guilty of himself; he's been in every lobbyists' pocket for 28 years, hasn't done much of anything for anybody but himsef since he got into office. "Character counts" he says.. well, he's never had any anyway so it's a moot point. Please, recycle this plastic parasite and do something positive for your country.

Whatever he accuses Hayworth of, he's got three big ones pointing back at himself. He's been a huckster and lobbyists' pal for 28 years. Time to give somebody else a chance.

Plus that -- anyone who is friends with Lindsay Graham is no friend of mine.

I voted for John McCain over W for President in the 2000 California primary not long before JM had to throw in the towel. Thanks again, Karl Rove. I voted for JM for Senate and President since I returned full-time to Arizona eight years ago. McCain is a decent and honorable men. Of course, he irked me when he made statements such as (legal) Americans would not pick lettuce, even at $20/hour. But the caliber of human being of a McCain versus a Hayworth does not make this August vote even a slightly close call for me.

Campaign finance reform is a very worthy goal. You want to clean house now and again in Congress, but do not want to regulate soft money? That makes no sense to me. Those two goals go hand in hand.

Not to be rude, but the knucklehead verdict on JD Hayworth came down a long time ago.

In a move that surprised Senator John McCain, Santa Cruz County Sheriff Tony Estrada, whose jurisdiction includes one of the most active segments along the Arizona-Mexico border, dropped his support for the long-time Senator and endorsed Democratic candidate Randy Parraz.

Hopefully Arizonans will use the primary to end this guy's reign of moderatism and compromise. At least a Democrat is honest about the fact that they're liberal instead of pretending to be a Republican like McCain.

I agree 100%. McCain certainly has his faults, and I never liked his flip flopping on the immigration issue either ... however, Hayworth is nothing but a blowhard who has very little as far as credentials. I don't understand the people who say that McCain isn't a true conservative, but then they turn around and support someone like Hayworth who voted for pork barrel projects & earmarks that cost the country millions.

Besides, Hayworth was escorted out of his Congressional position four years ago. Why in the world would a loser like him who couldn't hold onto his House seat think he could take over McCain's Senate seat???

Just because one district feels a certain way, doesn't mean the whole state feels that same way. He lost a close race in a pretty evenly divided district in a year that saw a lot of Democrat victories.

I'm not a registered Republican, so I won't be voting for either McCain or Hayworth (in the primaries). But I did want to answer your question....
