Nice enough if you like the wind. My sister lives there, every time I go, I get blown away from the wind. I went there a lot, my folks lived there too. Not too much to do for younger folks, Laughlin is just a short trip away. It is growing like the rest of Az. I wouldn't mind living there, but Az has better places to live.

Everyone seems to say there is a lot of wind there. Are we talking 20 to 30 mph everyday or is everyone blowing it out of proportion (pun not intended)

I've been there a couple of times and wind was never an issue. The times I have visited, I had a great time. With Havasu and Bullhead so close and the high mountains 15 minutes away, it had a lot ot offer

today we have a wind advisory and its up there. Usually its just a tame breeze nothing bad at all.
People have really blown things out of proportion about Kingman.

I lived in Kingman for 7 years and totally loved it. The people are fantastic, the mountains very beautiful and easy to get to and Las Vegas is close enough to go visit but far enough to not be habit forming. I would be in Kingman now if I could talk my wife in leaving the grandkids here in TN and moving back, but she will not so I will stay here.

About the wind, we measured wind volicity by counting the cows that blew by our office window. Bad days were two cow days; on really bad days they blew back.

Seriously, the wind was not a bother and it kept it from being unbearablely hot, as that breeze was most welcome when working outside.

We used to visit Kingman frequently when we lived in Havasu. I thought Kingman was a beautiful place, especially Hualapai Mountain Park. Was nice to get out of the Havasu heat. We haven't been back in 20 years. We had bought some land out by the airport 30 years ago and we just got an unsolicited offer for 20 times what we paid for it. I think we'll keep it for bit longer since it isn't costing much to keep. Never thought Kingman would ever appreciate like that
