Does the Williams area or nearby towns have good wells and quality water? How deep do wells need to be dug on average and what to local drillers charge per foot?

If you google Williams Arizona water issues or problems it brings up pages of documents on how unstable water supply is in Williams.

Here's some facts that may help you:

The City of Williams main well is 2,800 feet down, cost $2 million and produces under 100 gallons of water per minute.

Williams often hauls in water by train from Kansas and elsewhere as 100gpm is not acceptable for a city well. It's one of several, all at that considerable depth and low production rate.

Water is very difficult to find in Northern AZ. It's exactly the reason the Grand Canyon National Park pipes water to the South Rim Village across the Grand Canyon from the North Rim. And even that water supply is sketchy.

Water is found relatively easy in Eastern and Western AZ. Think Show Low, Pine Top or Kingman and Golden Valley.
