I drive through Maricopa regularly. It is surrounded by agriculture and smells like cow poop often, or perhaps all the time.

My in-laws family are from Arkansas. It sounds like it is beautiful in places, but humid in the summer. I like AZ because you can get out of the heat within a couple hours drive regardless of where you are.

When I lived in Gilbert, I noticed the manure smell in the early years as at that point, we were near the edge of development. It was always most noticeable at night and in the very early morning

One thing I like about living in the heart of the city now is leaving that smell behind.

Probably due to the 5 or so large dairy farms that surround Maricopa?
