PHOENIX, Arizona (AP) -- Illegal immigrants in Arizona, frustrated with a flagging economy and tough new legislation cracking down on their employers, are returning to their home countries or trying their luck in other states.

"Pearce disagreed that the Arizona economy will suffer after illegal immigrants leave, saying there will be less crime, lower taxes, less congestion, smaller classroom sizes and shorter lines in emergency rooms."

Well this is certainly good news.

Hey, the lower taxes should cover the higher restaurant bill.

I drive on I-10 every day and for the last few weeks I've been seeing a lot of Mexicans driving south with their cars, vans, and trucks loaded up with all their possessions. I see at least a half dozen every day.

So, other than Mexico, where is the likely destinations of the illegals leaving Arizona?

And Arizona will be a better place for it.
The economic "contributions" of the illegals is highly overrated. When you factor in the health care costs, crime rates, and the school costs of dealing with overcrowding and language barriers, the illegals actually cost us more than they contribute. A professor at Univeristy of Houston (Donald Huddle I believe), has proven this with extensive statistics. But his findings don't receive wide publicity because it runs counter to the multiculutral/democratic agenda of the mainstream media.
Good for Arizona, for taking strong measures against the illegal alien problem.
