I love Bisbee in many ways. I lived there in the 80's but moved to Sierra Vista. However I return 2-3 times a month to see friends, go shooting behind the mountain, eat at Santiego's or the Hotel and then return to S Vista.

Bisbee wasn't sleepy 100 years ago. It was a town of miners.

Yeah. Far from sleepy - a town of 8000 with 3000 or so of them miners, and getting ready to strike, too!

Bisbee is a neat little town, but its definitely not for everyone (obviously). If you're interested in the history of the region its a required destination, as it played an important role.

It was a good Harley ride.
A nice place to eat some really good clam chowder
and stretching our legs buying some nice things.
And talked with some interesting people.

It's all I expect where ever I go.
Can't say as we'll go back.
As we rarely go back to places we've been.
Cause we're always looking for the next new place.

But it was certainly memorable for us.

I think the weather is a big draw. Summer highs in the low 90's, winter highs in the upper 50's. Almost San Diego ish.

It doesn't take much - good, bad or indifferent - to stand out in AZ.

I think all that is why some people LOVE Bisbee!.....Scottsdale Fashion Square it ain't!.....instead, it's real and doesn't need to impress anybody

I'll give you that. I've been in that place in Scottsdale and, was quite glad to leave.

Well, we have been there 2 times and stayed in 2 different B and Bs. Granted, it is not Sedona or Santa Fe but we enjoyed our over night stays. We always seem to get good food and did enjoy spending time on the main street. I do think the climate is great and the scenery with the hills, trees and sky are beautiful. Douglass is a place that gives me the creeps even though the old hotel has been restored.
