If that's what you are getting from the negative-leaning posts on this thread, you are overreacting to them. You are not going to be "smelling it all the time" and odds are you are not going to have a meth lab next door. Police here also don't have a "do nothing" attitude about meth labs here in AZ.

I would stick to the larger cities even in the rural counties, if that's your preference over the urban areas, although I see you also mentioned Phoenix-Cave Creek-Fountain Hills. Better law enforcement there, and more neighborhood oversight. Or, your choices in Phoenix would work out, as well.
