Nah, that's not the Arizona way. We let our compatriots in other states do the hard work and just live off of their tax dollars. But then again that never stopped us from complaining about panhandlers and advising THEM to work.

So we are unable to sustain ourselves because of federal lands in Arizona??? That sounds like a pretty lame excuse.

I know. I only understand maths when it complies with my world-view too.

Too bad you didn't research that further. There are nowhere near that many illegal immigrants living in this state (likely in the 300,000 range). As works with conservatives, exaggerating to exacerbate people's fears gets others to agree with you... and responses to you didn't seem to yield any research on their ends either. Likewise, if any of you people could bother to research this yourself, you'd also see that them qualifying for welfare is, indeed, a myth. I can't imagine why conservative leaders would want to pander to your irrational fears when there's no clear gain for them to do so

Phoenix also has a mostly niche economy with a limited focus, a by and large uneducated population, and poor leadership, which have more or less kept companies from bringing higher paying jobs here. Furthermore, it didn't really nurture sectors (much like Silicon Valley did to blossom tech). Many California cities have much higher incomes than Phoenix, yet that state overall has far more immigrants (legal and not). I just had to point that out, because logic doesn't exactly seem to suit you.

A good point here. Actually, this is a good example of socialism in the U.S.. Bernie Sanders supporters take note, this is his philosophy at work.

You obviously missed my point. We would have been happily ignorant of that silly article if the person who started this thread did not start it. Said person starts and posts many threads bashing Arizona using articles with about the same worth as the one here. This is not the first one by said person with the same subject either, but it's been long enough so I cannot find it now.
