That's kind of odd considering how just 5+ years ago, Arizona had a reputation of moving too far to the right: mainly with the illegal immigration crackdowns (passage of SB 1070, Arpaio's raids, etc.) which actually caused some boycotts. Then there was controversy over several so called religious freedom bills that didn't pass, but still didn't help our reputation for a while. The reality is: Arizona is a center right swing state, and I'm fine with that ... so long as taxes & cost of living don't get too out of control.

I hope you’re right about this, but her voting record will tell in time.

Just look at her record for the last 6 years in the US House, 4 of which while Obama was president, it was fairly moderate

Again, I hope you’re right, but the senate is a different beast.

Sinema USED to be pretty far left in her younger days, but has definitely moderated quite a bit when she was elected to Congress. She still sides heavily with her party, but not as much with the socialist wing (thankfully). I think she still has tendencies to be ultra liberal, but she has realized that representation of the majority is crucial. You can't be a far left Democrat and expect to be very popular by representing a somewhat right leaning state like AZ.

Could Sinema switch to unaffiliated based on her moderating positions in the future? The Democratic party is moving far left at a non-stop rate.

Interestingly it appears SoCal, at least away from Los Angeles and some surrounding coastal cities(i.e Santa Monica) but not others i.e Huntington Beach or Newport beach, while they were not really interested in illegal immigration crackdowns, They tried to resist all that Democrat agenda trends of overregulation back in late 2000s and early 2010s. Sometimes by trying to support Republican but not always, even Democrat majority cities with Democrat majority councils(I.e Santa Ana) had resisted the trend as well, unlike cities in the SF Bay Area which almost always goes domino effect on any Democrat agenda. But it seems they are giving up fighting it and are joining it these days. I guess the Trump effect has affected this, in addition they feel helpless resisting the big gorilla that had been pushing their control freak agenda against them such as the mandatory fees on any grocery bags part in which some cities including Huntington Beach fought back hard against, SB270 was particularity written to aim at getting cities that haven't or did not want to pass their own ordinance to comply. The state law doesn't affect any cities with an ordinance passed prior to 2014 even without a fee. This included many SoCal cities that once told those pro ordinance "bag monster suit" groups to get lost.

We'll get bombarded with commercials about the latest new drug for this latest new condition. We go to the doctor who has been given plenty of marketing advice and samples for said new drug to help facilitate it's spreading use. Seriously folks. Our doctors are becoming drug pushers.

A couple of years later or so, we'll get bombarded with commercials from lawyers about said new drugs' bad side affects and sign up here for the newest and latest class action lawsuit.

Am I the only one who sees this?

this should get your blood pressure up a bit...

If she votes in lockstep with a leftist like Schumer as virtually all the Democratic senators do, I think a conservative can defeat her in the next election based on her voting record. Joe Manchin is as moderate as it gets for Senate Democrats but he still won't vote outside of the other Democrats if it isn't a deciding vote like in the Kavanaugh nomination.
