The TRUE Zonies are the lifers, but theyre so few and far between that youll most likely never run into one down there. Ive YET to meet a lifer in my many visits.

This is so true, I have been here a very long time and I've seen so many people come and go I can't even remember how many. I am leaving but I just started thinking about it last year. I have been very content here. It's far from perfect but I couldn't think of a better place to be, that's because I can't afford California. I don't think a paradise exist. I think it all depends what you like and how much you can tolerate. If I don't like where I'm moving I would consider moving back. My husband on the other hand would need some huge convincing.

BTW our population is growing because of the illegals that enter everyday.

I am one of those who recently left AZ after living there for the past 20 yrs. I am originally from the Northwest and moved to WA state this past fall. Needless to say.. I am coming back to AZ. Couldn't stand the winter storm we have been having with El Nino, I guess along with strong winds and trees blowing over along with all the flooding.
Am returning to AZ in the spring and can't wait! I will take the heat any day over what I have just been through.
