Anybody know of any neighborhoods to look in the west valley for homes/condos under $60,000. preferably west of the 101? I dont want anything special, Its just me, so I can live comfortably in 1000-square feet or so. I don't expect anything perfect in this price range but is it at least possible to find something "decent"? Im not having any luck, so far anything ive seen out this way sells for about $40,000 over the asking price! Thanks.

I'm moving out of a rental and my landlord told me she'd be lucky to get $60-70K. It's a 1600sqft home way out in Buckeye. She's going to try and do a short sale on the house. If I were you, I'd look into bank owned homes. Those seem to be moving pretty quickly. I am not an expert and obviously just giving you an opinion. There are homes out there in your price range.

You can get homes for this cheap in centeral phoenix, but they are not ones you would enjoy living in. As for the west valley, you may be able to find a deal but good luck in your searching.
