When the President was asked during his press conference today if he supports the boycott of Arizona, he first made a point to say that he is the "President of the United States" and does not endorse boycotts but then also made a point to say the he isn't against the boycott either.

How can the President of the United States not come out and say that he doesn't support a boycott of any of the states that he governs?

He is quick to point out that AZ's immigration law is misguided but not that
the boycotts are misguided as well.

BTW I voted for Obama, but feel that he and most of the Democratic party is so off-based on the illegal immigration issue.

I'd like him to describe to the American public his reasons for feeling the bill is misguided. That, at the very least, would show me that he has read the bill, which is more than I can say for most of the bill's opponents.

I think it's called nuance.

Mod Cut: Responding to a deleted post.

Obama needs to worry about the oil leak in the gulf right now, let the states govern themselves.

Mod Cut: Obvious.
I don't think he's giving in to anyone, but he needs to step up and show the gulf states that he's not leaving them behind.

He believes in freedom,
freedom for people to spend their money wherever the .......... they want.

The AZ law is not a choice that citizens made,
it was a decision made by politicians.
