What are some highlight areas in southern Arkansas? The childhood home of Bill Clinton? Any state parks worth visiting? Are mosquitos really prevalent all over?

If hunting and fishing is your passion "come on down." It's deer season right now. Most of southern Arkansas is country settings, Crossett rodeo, Armadillo Festival, Hope watermelon festival, annual car shows, county fairs and the Smackover Oil and Brine Museum, etc. Eldorado is trying to encourage tourism with "it's show time" slogan, where they just hosted their annual October Fest where Lee Ann Womack was performing. Moro Bay have cabin rentals close to the river at reasonable prices. Magnolia has a b-b-q cook off every year which was televised on national television when Anthony Anderson hosted it. I don't believe that any of these towns are cities with under 25,000 citizen so traffic is not really an issue. Nothing really stands out to me that would be a can't miss event, but I could be forgetting something. It's the place where you come to when you get older and want to slow down. Some homes have front porches where people just sit there and watch the world go by. The missus and I hit Shreveport or Hot Springs for a few days when we want a little more "excitement." Mississippi and Shreveport have the casinos which are about an 1.5 to 2.0 hour drive.
