I hope I'm not getting off topic here But wondering if many CCW holders have carry insurance? I see the NRA is offering Carry Guard and there are others. Is it worth the price? How do you feel about carry insurance?

I wouldn't call it ridiculous, but I am not sure it is worth the price. I wonder how many people have had to pay for legal representation, and how much, out of their own pocket, for a completely justified use of a firearm.
Also, does this insurance cover items like having to hire a lawyer because some tin badge dictator decides the 2nd Amendment doesn't apply in his jurisdiction? (not often, but it happens)

It's anything but ridiculous insurance. If you should ever have to use a firearm in self defense then you will know how much you need it. I don't have this insurance yet but will soon.

Yes this insurance does cover items like having to hire a lawyer. Anybody that has a CCW should look into this. But you don't have to have a CCW to be covered.

Its primary purpose is to cover the cost of legal representation,
but I was wondering if that applies where someone thinks
the 2nd Amendment doesn't apply.

I have never seen a breakdown of their terms of what
is covered and when and where you are covered.

Most of the explanations I see on the Net are far
too simplified to be anything close to realistic.
