I guess "forgetting" was not the correct term. She just was no longer used to that atmosphere, so it was a shock to her system to be in the middle of it again, reminding her how bad it can be back home in this regard.
No one throws blows during this kind of behavior? Odd.
Someone lightly "slaps" me in the head to get my attention they may wake up in an ambulance.
Yeah, when that guy was getting tugged and slapped on the head I thought something serious was going to go down and so we stepped back to get out of the mob- but apparently the guy was used to it, he didn't call security, just went with it and the chaos continued until everyone eventually was helped.

Of course I don't think anyone is saying EVERY Chinese person is like this, but as a generalisation, many people have observed this behaviour being more common in China and some other Asian countries than the West. So it's not unreasonable to draw the conclusion that there might be something to the idea there are cultural or sociological reasons for this.

It's bad to generalize yes but it's the entire country in China because it is a normal thing for Chinese people and everyday that we are out, someone always cut in front of us everytime we are trying to get a cab.
I was waiting on line at NYC Bike Expo 2013 to spin a prize wheel. A Chinese family pushed their two children into the line and then claimed that they were holding spots for them. This made me very angry. I told them to go to the end of the line. They pretended not to understand.
