Last August, I went to NYC with a bunch of mainland Chinese tourists (their main target is China anyway). I notice that they think it's still acceptable for guys to prance around in synthetic sweatpants in the cities.
I don't know any one who would wear these out unless you're out walking the dog in the morning with your coffee or working out. Most guys here wouldn't be caught dead in them.
