Isn't that weird, though? How did the KMT morph into a pro-China party? How did that transformation take place?
Actually they have always been a pro-China party, they've always considered themselves Chinese and that has lost market as most Taiwanese no longer think the same way, especially the young.
It's just that they used to be anti-PRC, now they've become pro-PRC. Because of bribery and corruption.

Wow, that's all it takes? Uncle Chiang would roll in his grave. Has been rolling in his grave, I guess.
China bribes the businessmen, they're the easiest targets, and we all know the special relations between politicians and businessmen.
You mean like the way Koch brothers and other 1% buy their way into our political system? Yeah, totally.
And to the OP: yes, I think Tibet is part of China. It wasn't as much a tributary vassal state like Vietnam or Korea was to China, and the Qing Dynasty did spend A LOT of efforts to quell rebellious monks in that region, and the ROC was too split/busy to get its house in order, so when PROC took over they once again established control.
Now whether or not CCP/PROC is good for the Tibetan people, that's a different story.

No, not totally. I've never seen the Koch brothers or anyone else part of the 1% pay US politicians to have the United States get annexed by the Soviet Union, China, or modern day Russia like the Chinese have bribed businessmen and politicians in Taiwan.
So... when are we getting back to the topic of China and Tibet? ...
Any discussion of Tibet's status will inevitably drag Taiwan into it. It's unavoidable.
