South asia region (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh): Nothing but Cricket

Philippines: Basketball

Japan: Baseball, with soccer trailing

South Korea: Baseball, with a recent interest in soccer

Philippines: basketball for men, volleyball for women. don't know if soccer is making a comeback but it is being played in schools in the provinces

Basketball is really popular in mainland China. I'm expat teacher at Chinese high school and most kids love to play and watch. But soccer (football) is starting to pick up.
