Along with the big two I see a lot of volleyball turning up on TV. A surprising amount of figure skaters at ice rinks and a lot of notice of badminton competitors doing well in international competitions.

Basketball is really popular in mainland China. I'm expat teacher at Chinese high school and most kids love to play and watch. But soccer (football) is starting to pick up.

6, Table tennis
7, Football/Soccer

There are three most important events and nearly 1/2 of them were held in Japan. I guess it is quite popular in Japan. BTW, my mother is a big fan of it

Back when China won the gold medal in Athena, it used be extremely popular in China.
