Hoeshik and Nomikai culture (people, time)

What are the major differences in your opinion in the Nomikai culture in Japan and the Hoeshik culture in South Korea?

Are these practices of going out with bosses and other people in the company to drink, have dinner and go to karaoke still common nowadays?

If anyone has already been to one of this parties how late do they usually end? I read that in South Korea some companies have Hoeshik 3 time a week so it must be very hard for a worker to maintain this routine.
