Well the CIA during the 1950s trained and sent arms to Tibetian resistance fighters. The Tibetians also got the military aid from the British. Also when the Chinese invaded Tibet the CIA then helped the Dalai Lama escape. Since then Western media has focused on the plot of Tibet and the calls for a free Tibet.

Americans and before that the British did in the past really strive to get Tibet under their influence. Even Tibet was occupied by the British military for a short time in the 19th century.

China never interfered in Hawaii, and it was invaded by the US military in the late 19th century and the Hawaiian regime was overthrown by the Americans.

What percent of Hawaii do native Hawaiians make up? Do the majority want independence? What about non-native Hawaiians? What are their thoughts on the issue? If Hawaii becomes independent, what happens to them?

Right now, I feel more think they benefit from the relationship with the US than if they were independent, otherwise, they'd be making a lot more noise. How much do they make from tourism?

tibet actually have much similarity with the USA.

first they chose to be chinese citizen rather than subjects of the british king/queen

then the ccp helped them with abolishing slavery

and finally they were able to achieve separation of church (in their case temple) and state thanks to the ccp

sound familiar to the USA?

If a majority of Native Hawaiians support it, I would support it as well. BTW Hawaii did function as an Independent country long ago. BTW when Hawaii was independent they granted citizenship to Non Hawaiians.

A poll was never given in Hawaii on if people want to be part of the USA as a colony or be independent. If the people call for this I fully support this.

Really? Why did China have to use her military, then? Why did Tibetans flee? Why is China flooding the province with Han Chinese? If they helped "abolish slavery", it sounds like they've simply traded one master for another. Would China even have a claim to the region if the Mongols and Manchus didn't first invade them?
