The Al Burj in Dubai is now called Tall Tower, and the developer has revised the height from about 3,400 ft to 4,592 FT / 1,400 M as of June 2008.

The site is currently being prepared for construction. In comparison, the Burj Dubai, which became the world's tallest man-made thing in April, will reach 818 m or 2,684 ft when completed in 2009.

Here's a possible rendering:

Al Burj, flat out due to height.

The spire is UHHHHHH-GLEEee

Freedom towers aren't bad, but nothing really special.

The Al Burj is not called the tall tower. That was a building in Chicago that was puposed but never fell through. Secondly you said the Al burj would be 4,592 ft. tall but the world's tallest ( Burj Dubai ) is 2,684 ft. tall! The Al Burj is either going to be 1,800 ft. tall or 2,200 ft. tall so that sentence basically makes no sense.

You basically makes no sense. In the time it took you to write that you could have clicked the link in my post or at least checked its Wikipedia article.

On June 20, 2008, developer Al Nakheel announced it would be called Tall Tower and will reach 4,593 ft. Like I said, the Burj Dubai is not finished, so it is not 2,684 ft tall yet.

I'm with hj2500, I did the research on this and he's right, it will be called Tall tower. Niac1234 i'm not sure of which tower you speak of that was supposed to built in Chicago; perhaps Frank Lloyd Wright's Mile High Tower???

This is tall tower Chicago.

It was proposed years ago and was never built which makes me happy. It's uglier than Hell! Something like that would look better in Shanhia. the most futuristic skyline. The Tall Tower and The Spire were supossed to stand side by side next to eachother but everyone hated the design and thought it would have been a big waste of money. It's not a Residential, Commercial, or Industrial building so there is no use of it whatsoever. The proposed height was supossed to be the same as the Spire. It would look terrible with all the new buildings being built.
