You need an in-depth course on probability theory because your shallow understanding of it and willingness to use it in situations where it is not appropriate underscore the shallowness of your learning.

Question-begging is a fallacy.
You might want to engage in some study into fallacies as well because you seem not to have a clue how to apply them.
People have been burnt at the stake for following the wrong atheism?
The Newport chapter of the International Atheist Conspiracy have rubbed a few out.

Mystic mate, it would do a lot of good if you could just step back and take a good look at the way you post.
Instead of explaining where he was wrong or at least where you disagreed or what was flawed about his thinking, you simply say that he is ignorant. This is your biggest fault - hubris and it does you no good at all.
No, I blame religion for what other people have suffered; and for what the religious are trying to do.
Go to the middle east and say there is no God. Wear a hard hat.
I would LOVE to see just how well the atheists of the world are able to get together on their own planet. Deciding who would have to do the work, while the rest could sit at a computer all day is only the first of the many issues that would slap them in the face. Something tells me that the numbers of wars would make earth look like a giant Mr Rogers Neighborhood in comparison. They would very quickly begin creating new religions on their own
I would rather live in a planet full of religious fundamentalists. I know the kind of people they are.

It is the shallowness of his knowledge combined with the certainty he holds for his analyses that convinces me that he is not exactly an ideal target for such extensive re-instruction. I have found during my time here in the forums that the accusations of hubris, arrogance, condescension, superiority, etc. are virtually unavoidable. It is what it is and there is little that I can do about it. Everything in my view of life and our purpose for existing leads me to seek to promote as much love for one another as possible. I endeavor to present and defend my understanding of our purpose and to encourage others to adopt the same goal. BUT, I will respond to challenges to my understanding, especially when they exhibit so little understanding of the reasons for them. It doesn't alter my genuine desire to love each and every person I interact with but some make it a real challenge and I remain only human, Arq.

Some of here are experts; most are not. Experts are valuable of course, but it is an error to think that you must be an accredited expert to critique anything. The fact is that in the religion/Theism debate, even the experts are no more knowledgeable than the average layman when they get off their specialist subject. And such a far -ranging discussion gets off the Specialist Subject all the time.
What this means is that we turn to those who are experts for the conclusions and we do not have to be experts ourselves nor should we be. Furthermore, when one if arguing from a position of Faith, the epertise is routinely fiddled and manipulated to support the faith, and Authority is simply a cheat to bamboozle the unwary into accepting what they say without question.
You will be familiar with the Creationist ploy of trying to produce a string of 'scientists' to try to give Authority to their trash. This is a Ploy we need to be aware of, as well as the method of deceit by quotemining, whether in Print, post or in a video. What this means is that harry and all of us are well - justified in seeing a crock when it is presented and your stock ploy of saying they are not educated in the field is not a valid argument, even if it is anything more than one of your ploys - like suggesting that it is your duty to instruct people.
Mystic, you are the one who badly needs a course of re-education, but first you have to accept that you need it.

Strange, he is responding, but not to what I wrote.

"Our Mission
We love Jesus and spreading His message! We are a nonprofit Christian organization with the goal of spreading and defending the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We primarily do this in video form. We create videos to showcase a library of content that is creative and fun, yet will possess significant theological depth. This ministry intends to specialize in reaching the current generation, as well as future generations, with the power of digital video, social media, and whatever new technologies the future may bring."
I have long been aware that "Philosophy" of this kind has as much to do with actual philosophy as "Creation Science" has to do with actual science.
It seems like so many atheists are wanting to blame religion, or religious people, for the things they have suffered. A few short years ago, I was doing the same thing. All you have to do is look back at my religious posts. But now I'm saying that religion and religious belief are not the culprit.
Religion is just as much a victim as anyone. Religion is neutral. Religion and atheism are just reflections of human society.
It feels like maybe you are reading something into some posts, rather than what was said. I don't think religion is inherently bad, I do think it has some inherent dangers.
Religion does not make people behave badly, what it does is offer convenient and unquestionable justification of bad behavior for otherwise good people. It gives us a way to think of ourselves as good, moral, righteous people even when we treat others in bad and immoral ways. And it does so in a way that is almost impervious to argument. If I believe that my action is a command from God, or based on a deity's moral absolute, then any attempt to question it is itself an evil action.
Religion's danger is not that it is inherently bad, it is that it is inherently self justifying, and holds itself above reason, analysis, and discussion.
