Many people grab onto a statement of belief about god/religion like a life raft. I get it. Many of the vocal atheist here do the exact same thing. they are bound by their statement of belief about god like life itself.
is it love compassion and understanding that is the way? or is it only Jesus is the way?

I get the lyrics, but I never enjoyed contemporary pop Christian music. For me it is the Ave Marias by Schubert and Bach-Gounod or Monks humming a tune. BTW, I recently discovered some Protestants do not play the Ave Marias.
Ah, but in the earliest days of Christianity, the Holy Spirit was referred to as a "she" with a feminine form of the word for "Spirit". That was in Syriac, a language close to Aramaic, the language Jesus spoke.
It was probably an atheist disguised as a Scribe that copied that.
