Can anyone comment on the traffic in rush hour traffice from North Gwinnett to Alpharetta? I am specifically interested in the State Bridge and Old Milton Pkwy flow going north. Is this going with or against traffic, and how long can it take to drive 14 miles on a bad day?

Thank you very much for your comments.

You can use this link

http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/met...fic/index.html

It is a site on the AJC web page that gives real time updates on traffic. It gives travel times on the major roads in and around Atlanta and may be able to help you with your question about commute times

Going North in the morning or evening??

In the morning, North 400 is not bad once you hit Alpharetta, as long as there are no accidents or rain. There is not much flow north past Alpharetta, because there aren't many large businesses in Cumming or North Georgia.

In the evening, North 400 can range from a parking lot to a slow-moving, jam-packed parking lot. You are going with the thousands of commuters from downtime Atlanta and Sandy Springs/Dunwoody/Buckhead.

I'd actually be more worried about some of the back roads getting to 400. In the morning, commutes that take 10-15 minutes on a weekend can take 20-25 minutes by 7:15, 40-45 minutes by 7:30, and 60+ minutes by 8am.
