Looks like the elderly came out in droves and won this I've been to Andretti's many many times. I've used Go-karts all over. It would have been a great addition.

Council members heard a long line of residents voice their fears and register complaints during a near four-hour meeting. Nearby subdivision residents and business owners said the noise and congestion caused by the tracks at Andretti Indoor Karting and Games would damage the city’s image, make traffic (http://g.ajc.com/r/GT/ - broken link) worse and lower property values.
“I’m worried about the impact this could have on the surrounding area,” council member Kent Igleheart said.
Andretti representatives countered that the outdoor tracks would improve the business and be an asset to the city.

I'm surprised it didn't pass. The local paper this month had a story about Andretti's testing the noise level in the back of the building by running some of the go-carts. Nobody in the subdivision behind the building could hear anything.

We've only been to Andretti's a couple of times. It was dead both times when I was there, but I understand it does a decent corporate business. It's too expensive to be a regular teen hangout.
