We almost bought a house in Triple Crown. Drive along Birmingham, Freemanville, Doris, Providence roads to get a good feel. Stop at Miltons for a little lunch. Go to the Crabapple fair in a few weeks. Milton is a beautiful community especially in the fall.

Does anyone have feedback on White Columns (both the neighborhood and joining the club)? Pros / cons?

White Columns is a beautiful community and I have a few friends who love living there. The club has been bought out by Sequoia and is undergoing a lot of changes/improvements.
The schools are excellent and you are close to Kings Ridge if you want a Christian education.
The only drawback is that you are away from conveniences (although a Publix is not far). And the Union restaurant is pretty much a neighborhood hangout. Traffic during peak hours is more of a pain than you could ever imagine at the stop signs getting to and from major roads. But, the rural setting with a large number of horse farms and mega-mansions is gorgeous.

Milton is perfect now with a reasonable commute if you leave early enough, but just wait until builders are done in the area just north in cherokee county and south in alpharetta. Lot of high density housing and no plans to widen roads. It will be a total nightmare in 5 years for people trying to commute into town.

There is a lot of building going on just south of White Columns in the Birmingham/Providence Rd area.
