Maybe relocating to Atlanta, GA soon.

First I would like to know if the MARTA Train has a stop at Galleria Parkway?

If there is a stop at Galleria Parkway how can I get there from Stone Mountain (Indian Creek)?

Thank you for you help.

You will have to take MARTA and Cobb County Transit (CCT).

There is not a stop near Galleria Pkwy. Actually that's the area that is constantly avocated on here that needs a rail line too. The Cumberland Transit station for CCT is half a mile away.

If you want to take a bus then you would take the train from Indian Creek to Arts Center and transfer to CCT. That will take you to Cumberland transit station over by Cumberland Mall.

From Indian Creek take the Blue Line to Five Points and transfer downstairs to the Red or Gold line going north to Arts Center station. Once at Arts Center, walk upstairs to the busway and take the #10 Cobb County Transit (CCT) bus to the Cumberland Transit Center.

Like others have stated, you'll have to walk the part to Galleria, however it's not that bad and there is a nice pedestrian bridge connecting Cumberland to Galleria so you won't have to play in traffic. Also, not mentioned, this is one of the longest commutes you can make on MARTA....but it beats the hell out of sitting in traffic from the far eastside to Cobb Galleria.

I see the occasional MARTA bus at the Cumberland transit station. Doesn't MARTA go there directly?

Here's a link to MARTA's system map. The thick black lines are rail stations, the thinner, different colored lines are bus routes. You can use it to see where MARTA is available.

Dont take the MARTA #12 bus, it will take 45min + thanks to Marta rerouting it to cover all the other routes that got cut, just take CCT 10 from Arts Center, it takes 20 mins to get to cumberland.

Default Transportion info

Can someone please help me out here? I'll be moving to conyers but will be going to Georgia perimeter college (Decatur Campus) which is about 20mins away. I dont have a car at the moment and I was wondering if MARTA comes by Conyers at all and if not what other forms of transportaion are there besides taking a taxi?

Unfortunately, I don't think any MARTA service runs to Conyers. You may have to take a taxi to the nearest eastline train station and take MARTA from there.

Also, you may want to check out this ride share link...it may offer some alternative transportation options for you: Conyers, Georgia Carpool / Rideshare: 7 car pool / ride share listings

Wishing you the best in school.
