How does everybody feel about these two night clubs reopening in midtown? I don't club much anymore, but these clubs were great to visit every once in a while when they were open. I think Visions reopens next month with compound later this year.

This might help to answer one of the clubs.

I never went to Visions, but I did go to (and enjoyed) Compound.

The West Midtown area IMO is a better setting for large clubs than the heart of the Midtown Mile.

Two things come to mind re: the reopening of Vision at 11th & Peachtree:

1. I don't think the new Loew's hotel will enjoy having this directly across the street from their front door.

2. I am SO glad I don't live within 5 blocks of this club, but I most certainly do feel for the residents that do - particularly new residents of 1010 Peachtree, phase 1 of the 12th & Midtown complex.

This is awful news. I really think clubs like this belong west of Peachtree in Midtown, if not in West Midtown or the Lindbergh area. I really doubt they will open as planned.

I'm not willing to place bets on that - these guys are extremely well connected.

It's definitely going to happen. I think compound will be fine due to it's location in west Midtown, but Visions will be torn down with in the next 3 to 5 years, because that is a prime piece of property it sits on. I think a big shot developer name Dewberry owns that lot and is waiting for the right time to build a major project to add to the midtown mile.

Correct re: Dewberry. Many people in real estate circles consider that block to be THE prime block in the entire City.

They may open and have a bit of a run, but there is going to be strong opposition from developers and area residents, no doubt. They will find a loophole to get this place shut down.

I think its great!!!! Lots of other citys have clubs around in there downtowns were residents are living and no one is complaining. We need more clubs and bars either downtown or midtown to make the city area live. I think Midtown is a great area for that. Those who are staying at lowes and surronding hotels will have somewhere to go to party without having to drive way out of the city limits to party
