My bad. However, this is the interwebs. Not everyone has that sixth sense to tell someone's gender, especially with posters who purposely like to be androgynous.

Total and utter B.S.
I find Aries one of the most informative and interesting contributors here on the Atlanta thread and is always spot on with his info. He (like me and others) does have a life outside of here, yet he continuously provides excellently researched info. Perhaps the preeminent provider of information regarding school ratings and statistics and information regarding educational institutions of anyone on this site. A great source for detailed info on city governments, maps, geography, etc as well.

Would say this thread that has turned into a discussion concerning Atlanta's night life would fall a little more in the subjective category, so not something one can show impirical data and win a debate as one person's opinions on nightlife can differ drastically from another's. However Cobain, I find your calling him out here like this beyond the comeraderie we generally share on the Atlanta thread and more suitable to be labled total and utter BS.

OK Aries, expect a check in the mail

Brother Marks--the check has already been sent!

I still need to comment on that Mount Bethel/Timber Ridge thread--will get to it.

Oh wow, a link to the website of Fulton County schools and some propaganda to mask the sub-par performance of failing schools. Thank god for that info!

I will agree with this. But it's not like the subject is rocket science.

It has nothing to do with opinions. All we are asking is for Aries to identify what, besides Buckhead, was different about Atlanta's nightlife from 1998 to 2004. We are not asking for the subjective (i.e. what he or she found desirable about the period). We are only asking for the objective difference, and he or she cannot do it.

I really could care less if it goes against the comraderie of the Atlanta forum. When someone spouts off about how much better Atlanta was with the Buckhead murder district, then tries to deny it, he or she will be called out to clarify what he or she meant. If you don't like it, you don't have to respond. Quit fighting Aries' battles for him or her.

Still waiting on the non-Buckhead reason for Atlanta's awesome 98-04 nightlife. Any day now...

Default Bulldoze it....

Step 1: Level it
Step 2: Clip the guys who sold this bill of goods....probably have their hands in Underground Atlanta as well
Step 3: Realize it for what it is....upscale in a near ghetto
Step 4: Sell the scrap metal, sells well in today's market
Step 5: Shoot anyone from any business chronicle who tries to defend a revamp
Step 6: Start angling for tax dollars to try something "new" again.....
Step 7: Turn into more and slightly newer, apartments
Step 8: Get ready for the crime and turmoil and maintenance those new apartments are going to create and need within 3 years of opening
Step 9: Keep the realtors out
Step 10: Pray land values recover for the next time they have to bulldoze this place when the next venture fails.....

Repeat as often as necessary so we can rival the failings of underground Atlanta.

Atlanta's nightlife today is far superior to what we had in that era.
