Beltline Transit Alternatives Seeking Public Comment (until mid-September) (Atlanta, Buckhead: neighborhoods, transportation)

The initial environmental impact study on the Beltline has been completed, and they are seeking public comments/feedback on several different transit and trail options to pursue in the NW section of Atlanta. This would impact parts of Buckhead, Atlantic Station, and the Westside (including the future Westside Park).

Personally, I think the Atlantic Station line will have the best chance of increasing interest and ridership in the earliest years of Beltline service. And I also suspect that line will face way less NIMBYism than the lines further north (that travel through those Buckhead neighborhoods).

In any case, please contribute your thoughts and pass this info along. This is our chance to really make a difference in the planning of the Beltline.
