Here is an interesting piece from La Saporta--and I totally agree (even though I think they should have just kept "Hartsfield" as the name of the airport, not "Hartsfield-Jackson"). Re-naming the domestic terminal the Hartsfield Domestic Terminal would be a wise move.

New Jackson international terminal to open May 16; now can we rename domestic terminal after Hartsfield? | SaportaReport

Hartsfield-Jackson has a nice ring to it. Much better than Atlanta Int'l

I agree. To say the Maynard Jackson international terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson airport is to say Jackson twice.

I don't believe you should be allowed to add names to things at will. Or else in 10 years we will all be flying out of the Hartsfield-Jackson-Campbell-Franklin-Reed international airport.

I still call it Hartsfield. I will always call it Hartsfield. If they want to name something new like a terminal after Jackson, go nuts, but you can't just go change the name of an airport whenever you feel like it.

Can't wait for this. The current process in Concourse E is frustrating at best and completely unbearable in the afternoon when many TATL flights. At least we have Global Entry to cut the passport queue.

It would be nice if they re routed the gold line to break off after east point. Have stops in hapeville, aerotropolis and this new terminal.

X2......It will always be Hartsfield to me.....why name both the airport and new terminal after Maynard......Atlanta's racial politics at work....it's not like Hartsfield was a Confederate general

Was Hartsfield even white? I thought he was black.

Hartsfield was European-American.
