Hi all,
I am a young professional (28 years old, white, female) relocating to Atlanta and working downtown. I'd like to live around other young professionals and not in a family-oriented suburb or around college-aged kids that have parties all night. I have primarily been focusing my apartment search in the Buckhead area and would prefer to stay under $1200 rent.

Any advice on specific apartments that you've had experience with?

I appreciate your input. Thank you!

1. Budget - $1200 max
2. Safety is important
3. Easy access to MARTA is important
4. Preferable demographics of desired neighborhood- young professionals; some bars/nightlife/restaurants

I HIGHLY recommend Inman Park/Virginia Highlands instead of Buckhead. I can e-mail you some apartments that I recommend

Midtown mile girl - I haven't looked into Midtown in great detail. I'm moving to ATL December 2012, and the apartment you mentioned doesn't open until May 2013. However, it looks like a wonderful place to live.

If you have any other suggestions, please let me know!

I second the Midtown suggestion. Marta's are all over, the apartments are great, walkable areas, close to Downtown (obviously), not too loud at night, and the people are decent.

Buckhead is an excellent choice. Tons of bars and restaurants and easy access to MARTA.

Midtown is much better suited to what you are looking for. Midtown has more MARTA stations, lots of bus routes criss-crossing the neighborhood.

Relocate to Colorado or Washington state. Weed is legal for recreational use now in those places.

What are they? The only ones I can think of are Midtown and Arts Center.
