This from the Washington Post probably says it best:

Washington Post

On big nights such as this, all the big shots (Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer, etc) are working out of the main studios downtown. This is something Atlantans can be proud of. The hometown network still rocks when it counts!

Election coverage is probably its strongest suit.

However, I'm sure their ratings were abysmal as usual.

That's for sure. When CNN is hitting on all cylinders they are the best.

I was at Hooters downtown watching the election results w/ a coworker and they had some TV's on CNN and some on Fox. The Fox ones were calling elections a good 10-15 minutes before CNN. I was embarrased to admit CNN was the local station to my visiting colleague. Nothing to be proud of CNN.

It's not a competition to see who's FIRST --- it's about accuracy, depth of reporting and CONTEXT .... something that Fox absolutely does not and cannot (by their own admission) provide. Neither does CNBC.

If you had read the link in the OP you would know this.

LOL at that Fox pic.

Anyway CNN has gone downhill imo but I agree that their election coverage is still pretty good.
