The company manufactures bulk and private label items for retail chains and branded drug companies in the United States. PureTek is said to be seeking up to130,000 square feet of space — about two-thirds of which would be devoted to manufacturing, according to a source familiar with the deal.

True, people say it would continue to thrive without the late great Steve Jobs, but I think otherwise.

Not that it would be a bad company to have relocate here.

Even though they're making some poor legal moves and some weak design moves, they're still a huge, profitable, high-tech, and (to many) "cool" company.

Strangely sad that despite our state gov't throwing fistfuls of cash at any company considering bringing "highly paid" below median job to the state that we can't attract much more than a few lights off data centers from Silicon Valley's finest. You would think the out of control salary costs in CA and high taxes, more companies would be fleeing but instead you find most large companies growing their headcount there vs. opening engineering offices elsewhere (see Google closing shop here).
