Hello,everybody!

I need a help from the residents of Atlanta city.Could anybody tell me if there is a street in Atlanta called Woddale Drive?I want to come to Atlanta as an Aupair and this is a street on which my host family lives. But,coming to a strange country to work is sometimes can be dangerous and I don't rely on this family so much(may be I am wrong and i want to be wrong).Because sometimes women are trafficked through advertised nanny or au pair jobs. That is very IMPORTANT to me to know whether this street exists or not.I have a great fear to come.
Your help would be kindly appreciated.

Your agency should be able to verify all of this information. I'm assuming you are going through an agency? If not, think twice before signing on to be an au pair without going through the proper channels for your own safety.
The agency should also be able to give you the family's address so you can indeed verify the neighborhood.

Yes, there is a Wooddale Drive, next to Lenox Square Mall.
There appears to be a Japanese restaurant there, and some other businesses, but it is a
very unlikely place for a home. I would be EXTREMELY cautious about this. If no one who lives closer offers to check this out in person for you, I will do so.

By the way, do you have your J1 visa and are you enrolled in an Atlanta college while here?
Both are required - if anyone has told you differently, LOOK OUT!

Yes,I'm going to submit my documents to get a J1 visa and agency which the family offered will do all necessary documentation after my submission. But, to tell the truth I have not much confidence in this agency too.
As to courses,I've not enrolled yet.Good idea.I was thinking to do so after my arrival, but I'll do it before.

Irvm,be so kind, please check it out for me.Currently,I am an aupair in Germany. But I came here without any hesitation, without any feeling of fear.As a person I can take risks. But,now, this feeling of inconfidence doesn't leave me.

Perhaps you could pm me the actual address of the family (don't post it here!)

I would say go with your gut. If something doesn't "feel" right then just don't do it. Find another agency or another family.

There's also a Woodale Drive off South Cobb Drive in Smyrna.

Here's a link to the map on Google:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...UTF8&z=16&om=1

You can see a regular map (which you can zoom in or out with) as well as a satellite photo that shows it to be a residential area.
