Move to Orlando and work in the service industry for a while. They always need people.

Call the cruise lines in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. Cruise directors always need recent grads to spend a few months at sea working the ships with them. It's an adventure.

Research NGOs and spend a few months immunizing babies in Africa. Or whatever floats your boats. No employer would ever hold it against you in a job interview down the line.

Next time you see rides in a parking lot, ask if you can help take them down. They will say yes and you will be a carnie and can travel with the carnival and leave whenever you feel like it (people always do, which is why they always say yes).

Learn how to pour drinks and tend bar.

There are a zillion things you can do.

Hello, jumping in on this topic/thread. I am a stay at home mom, now my son is in elementary school. I had two temp jobs last year thru agency. One lead me on for months saying I was doing great, that I heard I would be hired on full time, then when came time to hire me--the big boss changed direction wanted to go with position let me go no warning except for agency calling to drop bomb on my voicemail as a shocker on my cell. Then, after being depressed and really trying to find a job for a good month, I got another temp job (with potential to go longer than 3 mos) through another agency. It was okay, but I decided since position and company moving after three months (much further from my home), that I would just stay for 3 mos.

So, I am back in the boat of looking for a job. I have over ten years administrative experience, and I don't have a lot of connections. So, hearing it's all about connections, and who you know--any advice? I don't have a college degree, although considered going back to school for certificate or gaining skill of some kind to help me specialize in something to maybe help me find a job. I always wanted to work in a medical or dental office, but I do not have experience in coding or working in medical field.

Any thoughts or advice? Thanks!
