Not sure if this was a rumor, but Asiana I thought was considering service to Seoul. I also expect Emirates to announce Atlanta soon. I would love to see Kenya Airlines start Atlanta to Nairobi. One route I wish Delta bring back is Atlanta to Tel Aviv.

Is the only difference between the 300ER and the 200LR the capacity? They both have the same range but the 300ER holds more people?

Your are correct just the number of people is the difference, but this is still good news as it shows increase demand from Atlanta.

Sorta... the 200LR allows for optional fuel tanks that limits potential cargo load that an extend the range further than the 300ER, but that depends on the options.

The 200LR was designed for the extremes. The 300ER can handle most long-range flights and carries more people, making it a popular aircraft.

I think it signals good news via demand, but there is also a chance they wanted to move the 200LR to another route.

A couple nuggets I had missed out on:

Virgin Atlantic is bringing the 747 to Atlanta for the summer! 3x weekly service from Manchester (replacing a smaller plane).

Also I didn't realize that Frontier had announced these routes. Always a fan of more, more, more service to the top-10 metro areas in the US. Lower fares and more competitive service.

Atlanta - San Jose CA (4 weekly)
Atlanta - Islip NY (daily)

Wow! I love that VA is bringing the queen of the sky to Atlanta. How far is Islip from NYC?
