Channel 2 news discussed this report the city has been working on for a while. I love that the city put this together. But i'm surprised by some of the ratings on certain neighborhoods. Only one small neighborhood of Buckhead got the highest rating. Highest ratings went to Va-Hi, Midtown, Piedmont Heights, Druid Hills, Morningside, Ridgedale Park, Poncey-Hi, Cabbagetown.

I really like Cabbagetown, but in better shape than Inman Park and Buckhead?

From what I read, they did what they called a "windshield survey" -- i.e., they drove around the various neighborhoods.

It did seem odd that they'd hire a local real estate firm to do this kind of study. However, they may have political connections.
