I am moving from Savannah to Atlanta within 6 weeks. I have been looking for a house or an apartment for rent for my family. My wife and I have one very yougn kid, and want to keep our monthly housing expenses under $1500. I found some apartment in the south kirkwood neighborhood. I was wondering if it is a safe place to live for a family.

If by South Kirkwood, you mean south of Hosea then yes. There are places that are not as desirable as north of Hosea, eg: Bixby Court apts. But most streets are safe and full of great neighbors. Can I ask the apartments?

Never heard any issues there. It is a gate-controlled complex, and you can walk to Ann's Snack Shack for a Ghetto Burger.
